file integrity?

when trying to download a patch from msn or a service
pack from msn on cd i get the message"setup could not
verify inegrity of file make sure the cryptographic
service is running on this computer" can someone tell me
what it is and how do i get it to run--thanks please mail

If you're trying to install the patch for the MSBlast worm:

click Start, Run and enter REGSVR32 WINTRUST.DLL

If that doesn't correct your issue, see www.dougknox.com, Win XP Fixes,
