When I burn data CDRs using the WinXP built-in burning software, it sets all
my file dates to be the time of the burning, rather than the original time.

Is there any way around this? I want to preserve the original dates - I'm
trying to make a backup of documents on my hard drive.

For archival's sake: this was answered on another forum. The answer is "the
WinXP software won't do that; you need to use third-party software such as
Nero."
