file and printer sharing turns itself on

so file and printer service keeps turning it self on even though ive sat it to off

the reason being is that if its on i get printer 215 error in event viewer

need a lot more information ...

Operating System & Printer would help a little :)

... in the meantime, ignore the event viewer.

pay closer attention to Device Manager.

Calm down with the sarcastic question mark ****.


With a spec like that its going to be Win 7 or 8, either way they are pretty similar underneath. ;)

Personally its sounds like a bit of a non issue, its it actually causing any problems? :)

opps forgot about os, i got 8.1..
and no it causes no problem at all.. BUT i hate random errors in my event log

You will get them every day, ignore event log until you get a real error.

Keep an eye on Device Manager instead.

Solution is just simple first you need to check is there window firewall of your desktop is on or off. If it is turn off, turn it on and your device now will not be able to auto generate itself.
