Well i'm now dual booting windows XP & Linux Mint Xfce.
Bought a couple Linux mags, had a read and decided to go ahead & install Mint.
Getting used to it at the moment, but at least i'm online!!!
Congrats feckit - good feeling innit the first time you get online with Linux
I've been using Mint around nine months now, I'm not using it for everything cos I can't find suitable apps and some software has some odd quirks I can't figure out but I do use it regularly.
I do still think of it as a flawed Windows though, possibly because of my laziness.
Still, I do like an easy life, I'm not one of those who takes pleasure in sweating blood just to get my head round some simple software.
To me, only one maxim applies - if I can't figure out how to use software within half an hour without a manual it's binned.
