Yes, I have had significant problems of slowdown immediately after the
downloads. In particular I found accessing this very newsgroup almost
impossibly slow. However, it has now picked up speed again, thank goodness.
Other Windows sites did not appear to be so much affected.
There were nine (9) updates. I downloaded them per protocol, with my
anti-virus disabled and had no problem. I have to wonder if the OP did
it the same way, and if he/she tried a Defrag afterwards if there was
a slowdown in performance?
