Faxing from Vista

Hello,

I understand the ability to fax from Vista Home doesn't exist. Can anyone
recommend some decent faxing software for the occasional faxer??

Thanks much..

Snappy ran first time, and did a fine job during the free trial period, but
(I suppose like many people) I don't want to pay for an item I use perhaps
twice a year.

The origin of my problem is Dell (yet again), who sold a dialup modem as an
extra, but didn't say the usual bundled software would be missing.

You may find that the BVRP software available from USR only gives USR modems
as choices for modems which can be used..

Perhaps, but I tested it briefly with the Intel 536EP and it seemed to
do the job.

I have used the USR/bvrp for some time and it works fine. Its no Winfax pro
but for the one or two faxes I have per month it does the job.

Hi Folks

Yes, I bought a new PC (with Windows Vista Home Premium) and payed out for a
modem as an extra. I was then very annoyed to find that, having 'upgraded'
from Windows Home XP, I had lost the ability to send / receive faxes (i.e.
the 'upgrade' does not provide the facility).

I asked this Group for help and someone kindly told me about Snappyfax. I
downloaded it and am delighted with it: it is a good, reasonably priced,
Vista compatible program: initially you can download and use as a trial
version but, later, you can buy (I think it was something like £12).

Hope this helps

Cheers,

Since there is no edition of Vista called "vista pro," I can't answer
that question. Please clarify exactly what version of Vista you have.
