I have an E machines 730 ( two years old)and until today
I have been able to use it to send faxes. Now when I try
to send a fax I get an error message reading "fax device
error" What have I done wrong?

If you are running WinXP, do a Restore back to yesterday
or when your FAX was running OK. You can go back up to
90 days. Also, create a specific Restore Point for
future use.

Also, plug the phone cable back into the modem. Even with DSL or
cable, you'll need a modem/phone line to send or receive faxes.
