what do i need to share a fax over a network?

i have a hp officejet v40 fax/printer/scanner and i want
all the network users to be able to send faxes from their
workstations using this fax machine.

is this possible with microsoft fax alone or do i need any
additional software?

i read a knowledge base article refering to microsoft
exchange, but this was a win95 support article.

any help would be aprecciated. thanks

Unless HP provides Fax software that supports network faxing with this
machine, you won't be able to use it in this fashion. Windows XP Fax is a
single user, stand alone application, it can only act as a network fax
client when used with the Shared Fax Service provided by Small Business
Server and Windows 2003 Server.
