fax receiveing

my fax was working fine until i changed from direct
dialup to verizon dsl. now no mater what i try i can't
get the fax to answer i hear the ring in the computer
get the fax open then error message that fax was not
received. can tou help?
 
toni ... have you changed your fax program to use the dsl modem? The dsl
'modem' is not really a modem but a network connector and can't be used for
fax. Go back and reconnect your telephone lines to the old dialup modem,
run the Fax configuration Wizard from the Fax Console and select the old
modem. Be sure both boxes for 'send' and 'receive' are checked.
 
Fax does not work with DSL lines.
