fax problem

My fax, is hp psc 2450 which combines printer, scanner, fax. Unfortunately it
is in Japanese so when am sending the fax, i do guess work. When i bought it,
i could receive and send faxes, but suddenly, I cannot receive and send
faxes. it says communication error to all the faxes that i try to send
through hp director. Any Help?

Did you try an HP group?
This is not one.

My computer is equiped with the HDAUDIO Soft Date Fax Modem with SmartCP.
The driver for this modem installed in the computer is version 7.50.0.0 from
CXT dated 7/11/2006. It appears to the the most recent driver available. I
would like to send and receive faxes using Windows XP which is installed on
the computer. I have succeeded in sending but cannot receive. A review of
comments by writers online reveals that this is a common issue. Please
advise what I must do to make this work for me.
