Fax logon MAPI error message

When I try to send a fax I receive the error message "fax
coul not logon to your MAPI profile." So, I am unable to
send faxes. I have everything configured as described in
the Microsoft document titled "HOW TO: How to Configure
Outlook 2000 or a MAPI E-mail Client to Receive Windows
2000 Fax Service Messages." Any suggestions or ideas?
Thanks for your help.

Which mail support mode of Outlook? To what account does the Fax Service log
on?

Russ, I do not know how to find out what mail mode of
Outlook. If you can help me with that I will do so.
The "Send mail mail to local e-mail inbox Profile name:"
of the <Modem Properties> is set to Outlook. (That is the
only Profile listed in the drop down box. If this is not
what you need, then I need to know how to check this as
well.

Thanks for your help.

If you've gotten this far, you must be using Corp/Workgroup mode. Does the
Outlook profile that you've selected match the default Outlook profile in
your system's logon account? Are you running with administrator privileges?
You can check the instructions I posted here to see if they are what you
did:
