Fax Icon Missing

Why is my fax icon not visible in control panel?

Please give more details. What is the Operating System you are using? Was it
working ever on this machine? Are you suspicious of any action you did that
could have removed fax icon?

In Windows 2000, as soon as a fax modem is connected, fax gets installed and
you can see a fax printer icon in 'Printers and Faxes' folder.

I have the same problem too, my fax icon is missing under
control panel. I'm using Windows 2000 Pro, no fax modem is
connected caused we are connected using fixed line.

Please Help. Thx

If you have no fax modem, then there is no way (and no reason) for the fax
service to be installed. It will install by default whenever a compatible
analog fax modem is detected.
