Fax Console, multiple folders

M

Michael Parker

I assume i am right in thinking that there is no way to make new
folders in fax console?

Given that, is there any cheap software out there that allows you to
import the faxes stored in the fax console and then file them in
folders?

I've used winfax in one office and it is brilliant, however it doesn't
appear to let me import faxes from fax console.

anyone got any suggestions, as with 400 faxes in the sent items,
growing daily, i'm pulling my hair out more and more each day! It
seems that the old versions of windows had a much better system,
integrating it all in outlook.

Thanks

It is also very easy to move your sent or received faxes to any other folder
you wish.
The default location of these folders is:

<drive>:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows
NT\MSFax\

Simply copy their contents into another folder.

Cheers for your help here Russ...

Fax2Outlook is ever so close to what i need ;) however i installed it
and used it and it managed to import 300 blank faxes as well as the
actual ones i had. i didn't see any (obvious) way of making it
automatically get the faxes in outlook either. (Although that is
probably me being dumb!)
The default location of these folders is:

<drive>:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows
NT\MSFax\

another problem i had ;) since importing the faxes across to
fax4outlook i have 2 "blank" faxes in the fax console that i can not
delete... any ideas!

I'd definitely shell out the (very reasonable) amount of cash for
fax4outlook if i could get these problems fixed!

thanks again

Michael

I'd sure let them know about it. They have a support department.
I tried it once with no problem, but don't really have any need for it
myself. I seem to recall its placing a new item called "Fax" on the Outlook
Menu bar, beneath which was the option to Import Faxes into Outlook. But I
only used it one day long ago.
