Favorites Not Displaying

It's been almost a month and I still can't get this one
figured out. My user somehow managed to "hide" his
favorites list in IE 6.0. The folder is there when
browsing using "explore" off of the Start Button. I've
tried to uncheck the Enable Favorites item in the Internet
Options window. I've installed all of the critical
updates for the browser. I can't believe that this is the
only instance of this happening to anyone in the the
English speaking world.

Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated.

Check in the Registry to see if Favorites is shown as the same folder
you have found in Explorer.

You can change the value of Favorites in the Registry in these
two keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders

It was in the second location and it was listed
as "C:\Windows"

I made the appropriate changes and it works.
