Favorites Migration

Good Afternoon,

Unfortunately, I had a hard disk crash - and need to recover. I chose to
buy a new computer since mine was getting older. I'd like to be able to use
the Win XP migration wizard - but I can't because of my boot hard disk crash.
However, I do have a Ghost back-up of the drive. So, I'd like to migrate my
web page Favorites manually. Could someone tell me the file extension for
favorites.

Thank you.

If you've exported your favorites through IE, search for "bookmark.htm"
Otherwise, C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Favorites

Hi Pfanelli,

The hidden extensions for files in your favorites folders are .url (Internet
links) and .lnk (Program file links)

You may have to unhide those extension types to view the file extensions in
your ghost exploring tool. Or at a DOS prompt *.url;*.lnk

Regards.
