Favorites copied and moved, not html

IE6 crashed and would not allow me to export my Favorites.
Would got the error message,
"Internet Explorer has a problem and needs to close".

Went to Program Files > Internet Explorer > Favorites, moved Favorites
to another Disk.

Did a REBOOT to my PC.

Now I am unable to Import Favorites, as they are not in HTML format.

Is there any way to recover these files to IE7 ?

Hi,
Assuming Windows XP- some details will be different in different versions of
Windows:

You should be able to drag and drop or copy and paste Favorites into the
Favorites folder- one folder at a time may be easiest.

The Favorites folder should not have been at C:\Program Files\Internet
Explorer. Are you sure you copied the Favorites folder? In XP the Favorites
folder should be at C:\Documents and Settings\{account name}\Favorites.

If Favorites were written to a CD or DVD you may have to select all and
remove the "read only" attribute (right-click> properties.)

Hope this helps,
Don

Don,
Thanks so much for your reply.
Yes, Windows XP Media Center,

As stated, copied from program files>internet explorer to
other disk
Ran a complete Reboot on this system.

To make a long story short; Moved this file to Documents and Settings.
This gave me two Favorites Stars. Opened the one I moved, Selecte All,
Cut ,moved to original Favorites, clicked paste and they all transfered
like they had never been moved. Paste. I call this PURE LUCK!.

Thanking you for your response,
