Over the years I have amassed what seems like tons of favorite in IE6. Is
there some way to automatically see is the favorite URL is still workable
and if not delete the favorite entry. OR am I going to have to do this
manually with each favorite URL?

You want a utility called Favorg which is absolutely brilliant...
unfortunately it is a PCMag utility and I can't find the URL just now... if
you would like a copy I can send you one by email or else just wait for
another answer... drop me an email if you like the address is valid. About
600k zipped. Or a google search might find it.

Hi Charlie,
This is the PC Mag URL for Favorg (no longer freeware)
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,13999,00.asp

Ping MVP Jim Byrd, IIRC, he has a freebie link.

Thanks for the suggestion. While investigatin Favorg, I came across
AM-Deadlink at
http://www.aignes.com/products.htm . It's freeware, for now. And does just
what I wanted. Already tried it, without problems or ill effects -- at
least none yet. I don't see where it installed any spyware or popup ads,
etc.

The Favorg does require joining PC Mag's archive... $20-30 a year I
disremeber which.

But thanks, guys, your answers lead me to what I was looking for\

Thanks, Silj and Charlie
