Fatal print spooler error message

Have had a laser printer which has worked OK for long time. Recently won't
print and I get the above message and sometimes Spooler Subsystem App
problem. The printer will not accept print instructions although the job is
shown in then print queue. Atest print won't print either. I'm not too
computer literate so any help in simple language would be appreciated!

The Print Spooler crashing is almost always due to corrupted printer
drivers. The Spooler Subsystem App has a KB article at:

Once you've fixed this, uninstall and reinstall your printer, checking you
have the latest drivers from the printer manufacturer's website.
