Fatal Exception when start internet explorer

Dear All,
Whenever I start the Internet Explorer browser 6.01 SP 1
(Window 98 SE), it keep prompting me "A fatal exception
0D has occurred at 0000:0000FF00. The current application
will be terminated." Please help. I have tried all
methods. Still cannot.

Can you boot to safe mode?

If McAfee or Fast Shut down are started when you boot disable them.

"Fatal Exception 0E Has Occurred" Error Message Appears While Browsing

normally or because of a warm boot.

Fixed problem by going into Msconfig and checking the Disable Fast Shutdown
option.
