Fatal exception 06

When clicking on IE, it opens but when I start browsing then the screen gets
blue with the following:

Windows
A fatal exception 06 has occurred at 0000:00001234. The current application
will be terminated.
* Press any key to terminate the current application.

* Press CTRL + ALT + DEL again to restart your computer.

I am using Window 98 and have Ad-Aware SE and spybot installed for sometime.

That error message seems to be related with the install of MS patch KB891711.

You can try starting in Safe Mode and uninstalling it through Add/Remove Programs or stop it from loading at startup in the System Configuration Utility:

Start > Run > type MSCONFIG and press enter

See under the Startup tab: locate and UNtick the entry referring KB891711.

Restart and the error message should not appear again.

I removed patch kb891711 and it looks that the problem has been solved or at
