When the computer has been switched on for a few hours I
get this message which fills the screen with a blue
background and white writing saying:
Windows
A fatal exception 0E has occured at 0028:C0005541 in vxd
vmm(01)+00004541. The current application will be
terminated.
* Press any key to terminate the current application.
* Press CTRL+ALT+DEL again to restart your computer. You
will lose any unsaved information in all applications.
Press any key to continue_
It does not matter what key I press, the computer either
restarts or it just freezes. Any attepts to start the
computer after that is in vain but if I leave it for a few
hours then its normally fine. I have bought a new hard
drive thinking it may have been damaged or knocked but I
am still having the problem.
I have an idea that it may be the processor overheating
cause it normally happens after a few hours of the
computer being switched on. If you think this may be
causing the problem then would a new fan cure this or
would it require a new processor.
I'm at a loss, please help.
Thanks
Chris.
