hi,with fast user switching it hangs when you log off.freezing at the welcome
screen, saving your settings,or at background picture nothing else but mouse
pointer no ctrl-alt-delt to shutdown, manual shutdown to reboot.

well my issue is when i am logged in and then i switch to go to another
user... it works fine but when i log that one off it saves and loggs off but
never gets back to log in and then the screen turns off and nothin works..
and the hard drive shows work but consistant... like its looping or
somethin... a few other people are having the same problem.. i hope they fix
it soon..

The removal of the suspect software will correct the issue. It may be
malware, virus, misconfigured antivirus. But you need to determine what
it is, as "they" can't "fix" what you put on your computer.

hi,i've tried using msconfig and thought i had it cornered as to where ,but
the next day i repeated the process and did not get the same results .I also
got a program from Microsoft-uphclean that assist with shutdown which helped
a little but did not help with the FUS issue.

Yes,no malware,no virus-misconfigured antivirus how would you check for that?
running-norton05,spydoctor,spybot.

i think i found the problem (on my computer anyway) i went to msconfig and
unchecked everything in the startup box. i'm not sure witch program was the
problem...maybe spyware doctor. anyway it seemed to have solved my problem
for now.!!!

i tried the same thing as you did and found(so far)its working with spyware
doctor out of the picture.i have uninstalled it and going to try for a few
days to see if the problem comes back ,i hope not.need to notify pctools so
they can try to fix it.
