Fast user switching - change default time out?

My laptop has FUS set on, which is fine and periodically useful for me,
but what is NOT fine is that if it sits for a while, it will apparently
time out and automatically go back to the welcome screen. Is there a
way to leave FUS on, yet have it not time out and go back to the
welcome screen? IOW, I'd like to leave it wherever it happens to be,
i.e., at the desktop, whatever, until I specifically choose to switch.
(but hmm, how would I switch then, still leaving the original account
running? Logging out would terminate that user, right?)

Is it even possible to do what I want it to do? If so, how?

TIA

Try this, Right click your desktop and select Properties, on the Display
Properties click on Screen Saver Tab and beside the wait time uncheck this
box:
[ ] On Resume, display welcome screen.
Click [OK] and out you done.
Hope this which you are after.

Usually, unchecking "On Resume, Display Welcome Screen" option will solve the
problem but there is one more setting for the Welcome Screen when your
computer Resumes from Stand By mode.

1. Click Start - Control Panel - Power Options
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Uncheck the option "Prompt for password when the computer comes from
Stand By".

Hope this help, let us know!
