Is there anything short of changing your Email address to stop these fake
updates , I have been getting them for many days and they seem to be
multiplying , getting about 100 a day now.

If that's your correct email address, your providing the folks who send out
the swen virus with your address! As somewone else said Swen is News spelled
backward, they are harvesting addresses from newsgroups! Change your email
address in your mail setup config to something not routable by a machine.

You can try to create a Message Rule. Choose a sentence in these updates,
and block any messages that have that particular sentence in them. Won't
solve the problem completely, but at least you can have them go directly to
your Deleted Items folder.
