This has happened twice.. First time I downloaded the beta 2 when it happened
with the 1st beta and it happened again within days of the second version.
How can I fix this. Must I download it again?

Hello Crystal,

What version of Windows? Is this system fully up to date with critial
patches?http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375

Whatever you do, (installing and updateting or unistalling) always as a
administratºr.
Try going to Windows Update and applying all offered critical updates.
http://update.microsoft.com

Install Windows Installer 3.1 v2 (3.1.4000.2435) is availªble here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/893803

The Windows Defender service has a dependency on RPC--have you disabled any
services on this machine? Remote Procedure Call should be set to automatic,
and started.

you can start the Window Defender service by typing "net start windefend":
at a command prompt. That may just elicit the same message though.

Why have you reverted back to 8 bit to send your posts? It is
*unreadable* to most others! You had changed it to *proper* 7 bit in
your previous post...
