Failed update Windows defender beta 2

Windows Defender (beta 2) is telling me its not been updated in 14 days so I
try the update button but the following error is shown in a messagebubble on
the taskbar icon,

Windows Defender was unable to complete update: 0x800704b. The executable
program that this service is configured to run in does not implement the
service

Any ideas Bill (Gates that is)
