fading audio files

Does anyone know if an audio file can me slowly faded out rather than just an abrupt cut off between pix or videos? thanks

You can right-click the audio track and do a fade out, but it's a fairly
short fade out. Not aware of any way to control it.

Perhaps you could use some other software to do it, then import it again.
