Fade out affects the hole clip!

Hello!
I have noticed that a simple fade out effect applied on a dv-avi clip, when
rendered, slightly affects the quality of the entire clip (while it should
only have an effect on the last few seconds).
Do you have the same problem?

split the clip however long before the end you want it to fade and apply the
fade effect only to the short clip

Of course that is what I do.

Nevertheless, I consider this problem as a one more bug in MM2.
