factory restore

I was wondering if anyone can help me i tried to do a factory restore but the
recovery cd won't run is this because i have upgraded to windows xp and will
it help if i uninstall windows xp.

How about setting your BIOS to boot from a CD.

I have tried it in both drives even tried autorun but thanx for your
suggestion i will try it.
