F1, Help, not working

Whenever I hit the F1 function key or click on help in any application (e.g., MS Office, Novell GroupWise, Symantec Anti-Virus, Windows Media Player), nothing happens, or for example in MS Word the help box will open and nothing will be inside. When I use the Office Assistant it will find links when I do a search, however when I click on a solution the box is empty. When I click on help in Windows Media Player I get an App error "Error in setting up help". I have checked for Virus and Spyware, my system seems to be clean. Does anyone know what the problem might be?
