I have an email folder will 550 email. I would like to extract the From:
email addresses from all 550 of these emails so that I can send one reply to
all these people at one time. How can I do this without adding them to my
contact database one at a time.

PS This is not marketing or spam. Further, I intend to put their names in
the BCC field for privacy reasons although this probably has nothing to do
with the question.

there are at least two addins that can do this for you - one from
mapilabs.com and ornic.com.

Microsoft Office SP3 seems to 'break' a number
of Outlook Xp Addins and Word/Excel Macros.

SP3 'breaks' any Excel/Word Macros that obtain data
from Outlook to create (say) a Contact Phone List
that includes their email address OR to create (say)
a list of unread mail.

Any attempt to access Contact email addresses
OR
ANY Mail Data Now generates a Dialog box:

"MS Outlook"

"A Program is trying to access......"
"If this is unexpected it may be a virus...."
etc.

You have to give (Outlook) permission for the Macro
to access Outlook for 1 to 10 minutes.

These macros can no longer run 'unattended'.

SP3 also 'breaks' Outlook AddIns like 'IncrediMail'
and some anti-spam AddIns like Sunbelt Software's
iHateSpam and Cloudmark's Spamnet.

Outlook 2002 SP3 adds additional properties to the list of those that are
affected by the security features. As a result, one of your add-ins needs
updated to the latest version - antispam add-ins are a common cause
although others are affected by the changes as well. Many add-ins were
updated following the release of Outlook 2003 and should work with SP3, if
not you'll need to contact the vendor for a newer version.

To learn how to program around the new properties (which is needed for the
macros to work with ol2003 anyway) see http://www.outlookcode.com/d/sec.htm

IHateSpam released an update by 6PM Thursday - look for links on their
support page. Cloudmark is working on an update - I assume Norton will have
one soon too.

Format the list on disk as a comma-separated value file and import it into
your Conacts folder. Then create a distribution list containing the
contacts you just created. Put the name of the DIstribution list in the Bcc
header when you send.

Thanks Diane,
That's excellent News.

IncrediMail has released a solution for the SP3 problem in their
add-on.
The new build 1431 can be downloaded here:
