Extra "monitors" displayed in Device Manager

After a HDD failure on my notebook computer, I reinstalled WinXP Home on my
new drive. All went fine, except that the Device Manager shows three
"default monitors". When I check the Desktop properties, the settings show
two monitors connected to the computer. I have only the built-in LCD
monitor, nothing else. The BIOS is set for LCD only. I've tried deleting
and disabling these spurious monitors, but they are always repopulated at
startup.

Any advice?

Thanks,
Jerry

Does this hamper system operation, Jerry? If not........I could type an old
saying here, but won't.)

If this is just a quest of yours, remove it from Enum:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum
