Device Manager - Extra Monitors?

Why would I have 3 default monitors and 1 plug and play monitor listed in
device manager, when all I have is one monitor? (it's a Dell laptop) They
all seem to have the same info listed on the various tabs - general, driver,
details - except that three are called default, and one is called plug and
play.

Have a look here under Display: Start/Run/Regedit

So I took a peak, and find a Default Monitor folder that contains three
folders - each labeled with a slightly different long number, and a SEC 3158
folder, that is also labeled with a different long number. No surprise - the
three default monitor folders seem to hold identical info. The SEC3158
folder seems to hold the info for Plug and Play.
But I still don't know why I have three default monitors.
