exporting to word

I am merging in word, using data fields from excel s
sheet but what appears in the s sheet cells does not
appear in word - eg if it says 3.90 in s sheet it appears
as 3.899999999991 in word or 3.60 appears as 3.6. Help! I
need to print tonight

In Office 97, the format in Excel was carried over into
Word. However, in XP (don't know about 2000), that is no
longer true. To fix your problem, you need to add the
formatting information to the mergefield(s). In Word, do
help on Numeric Picture Field Switch for all the options.
There is also a Text Picture Field Switch, should you
need it.
