Exporting from Access to Word

When exporting to Word it seems to make the lenghth of the
text box slightly smaller. Can you widden the text box on
your report before exporting out to word?

Hard to say. I'm assuming that you are simply opening the
report and selecting the 'Publish it with MSWord' option?
Try selecting 'Analyse with Excel' instead. Excel doesn't
look at the length of the textboxes so you can make sure
that it is not a data problem. If the data all look OK in
Excel then I would suggest that yes it is the length of
the textbox cutting it off.
