Hi
I have the following problem.
I would like to export my Outlook2007 contact list to my Live Account.
I have tried all the "Export to Files" possibilities in Outlook 2007, but
none of them is accepted when I try to do the Importation in my Live Account.
I alway get an error message :
- or it says that the file created by Outlook is empty (not true because I
can see all the data when I open the file with Notepad)
- or it says that there was "an internal problem"

I guess that I need some help pleazzzze

Thanks on beforehand

How are you importing them to your Live Account? If not via Outlook, then it
is not an Outlook issue.

Since it is a Live Account, why not use the Outlook Connector to connect to
it? You can then manage your contacts directly from within Outlook and there
would be no need to export or import anything to a website.

Hi Roady,

Thank you so much for this information.
I had already Outlook Connector installed, but I did not realize that I
could simply select Outlook contacts en copy them into my Live Account
contacts from within Outlook.

Your answer solved my problem, thank you.

Can I do something similar with my Outlook Calendar ? :-))

You're welcome! :-)
Yes, it also work with your calendar. When you switch your Calendar view to
All Appointments you can more easily copy all the information.
View-> Current View-> All Appointments

Thanks again Roady, this works also grreat !

And now a final question if you don't mind.
Is there any synchronization back and forth happening once I have copied
both my contacts and my calendar to my Live Account ?

You're welcome again! :-)
If you create the items in the Live Account in Outlook, then they will also
automatically update to the Live Account on the web.

If this is your main account, then you might want to set the message store
of the Live Account as the default via
File-> Data File Management...

This way, when you create new contacts or calendar items, they are directly
created in your Live Account in Outlook and thus also automatically synced
to the Live servers.

Great !

But

I will lose "Tasks" in "Outlook ToDay" if I set my Live-Account as the
default, won't I ?

Hey Roady,

Please disregard my last stupid question (I should have looked better before
to ask them).

I am going to work according to your last suggestion - and I will come back
later to you with my findings.

Thanks again for all your help and support during the last couple of days.
