What you can do is search for a folder called "Favorites" and place a
shortcut to it on the desktop... that gives you more sorting choices simply
by clicking on the grey column headers but none of this will make a
difference to the display within IE itself... you just have alpha there.
AFAIK there's no way to preserve any specific order.
