Explorer Problem

Earlier today had a problem with explorer which generated the following
message:

The application, C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe, generated an application error The
error occurred on 05/07/2005 @ 12:24:06.203 The exception generated was
80000007 at address 00000000 ()

Following this I have been unable to rename, delete or cut/paste folders. I
am running XP professional with up to date SP.

Did this solve your problem? I am having the same issue. Have tried virus
checking, chkdsk & have been looking on the web for a solution for weeks! :-(

Got to admit that I have not managed to check everything on PA Bear's post
due to lack of time, but tried everything on Rick's post to no avail. Have
learned to live with it for now but do need to re-address at some point.
