My windows XP home hangs as soon as i right click on any FILE and then
explorer restarts, the error in event log specific to this error is the
following:-

The application, C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe, generated an application error The
error occurred on 12/21/2004 @ 05:56:14.184 The exception generated was
80000007 at address 00000000 (ntdll!KiFastSystemCallRet)

I have to goto task manager and end task drwtsn32.exe to get the explorer
restarted, i have changed drwatson's settings so it doesnt log anything and
also installed microsoft's profile handler service which unloads the profiles
stuck but nothing seems to help. Please help, i dont want to reinstall the
whole win xp just so i can right click on files etc.

I just patched and upgraded a PC to SP2 yesterday and bega
experiencing exactly the same problem whenever I attempt to use an
explorer-based function like the Printers window, Control Panel, etc
It doesn't occur when in Safe Mode, so I suspect that either
program or running spyware is the culprit. Did you ever find
solution. I'd appreciate your help

Cheers,

Sea
