Explorer preview picture and lists at same time like win 98

Hi,

I want some thing to be changed. I liked the setting in
win 98 display explorer like webpage, so you can see a
preview (left of the window) of a picture and a list
(right in the window) of the contents of a map at the
same time. Where is that function in xp?

Why not display thumbnails of the images in the explorer view?

In All Programs - Accessories - Windows Explorer

Drag that menu item out to the desktop (r-drag and take copy here, so
as not to lose it from the menu) to have a convenient icon for use.

Then r-click take Properties, and adjust the end of the 'Target' line to
reflect where you would like to see displayed at opening (Default is in
My Documents) eg
.. . .\explorer.exe /e,/select,C:\windows

will open displaying C: with Windows pre-selected in the right pane,
which is what I usually find convenient.

Also change Run to be Normal Window rather than Maximised if that is
what you prefer
