Hi... Windows explorer seems to read all contents of every file in a
directory when you enter a directory to display thumbnails of the files
in that directory... This causes too much network chatter...

Can this be disabled on the file server end? If so, how?

This could be a cause... regardless, I would like to know if there is a
way to detect this on the file server end and disable this feature via
the file server... so I dont have to change all the client machines in
the network.

I was under the impression that it was the server registry.
