Explorer opening settings

I chose Common Tasks to be displayed in Windows Explorer. I have made
shortcuts to C: drive and a couple other folders for my desktop. When I
open Explorer this way the Common Tasks are displayed on the left frame and
file/folder info on the right. If I click on the Folder icon in the top
menu the left frame switches to show the parent folder/drive that I have
opened.

Is there a way to reverse this? I would prefer that Explorer open with the
parent path in the left frame and file/folder info in the right. Then
clicking on the Folder icon in the top menu would switch the left frame to
show Common Tasks if I wanted to use them.

Open the shortcut's properties,
Change the target to :
explorer.exe /e,D:\FolderName
where D:\Folder is the path of the folder...
