Explorer.exe is consuming memory!

explorer is eating up alot of memory it grows in memory usage every time i
open windows explorer and use it , i have just installed xp today and i
noticed this weird behaviour i dont know what is the problem any ideas is
there a fix to this kind of problem?
 
We had similar problems with Win2000 and SP2 fixed the
problem. Did you install XP1 for XP?
 
No i didnt so i should install da SP1 frst then?
