explorer.exe - Application Error

Every single time I start my computer up, it will allow me to login but as
soon as I do, it pops up an error message with the title 'explorer.exe -
Application Error' the message is 'The application failed to initialize
properly (0xc0000142). Click OK to terminate the application' I have tried
everything, and it still appears...

Are you still able to login with the desktop etc. visible? If so, you could
try System Restore and restore your computer to a date when this error didn't
occur.

If you can't login, there is a Repair option when you insert your Windows
Vista DVD and boot from it, maybe you can do the system restore from there.

The only way I can access my desktop or taskbar is to manually start
explorer.exe manually through task manager, and I've already tried system
restore and diagnostics with the Vista CD.

OK.. have you experienced this problem from "day one" with the "upgrade" or
"clean" install of Vista? And, which was it? Upgrade or clean install? Have
you tried booting from the Vista DVD and doing a repair?

You know what? Just out of the blue today, it stopped happening!!! I don't
get it, I didn't do anything differently and it stopped!
