Explorer crashes when deleting or moving

When I try to delete or move a file (usually over 1Mb) using explorer I get a
"Explorer.exe has encountered a problem and has to close..." It happens
almost every time.
I have XP Professional, SP1 and all of the latest updates. Please don't
tell me to upgrade to SP2. I'd like to find a solution using SP1.

To repair all system files, go to Start/Run, and type (or paste in): SFC /SCANNOW (see: Description of Windows XP and Windows Server

I tried sfc. Didn't help. Any more suggestions?
