Explorer Crash!

Help!
Every so often when I'm moving around in explorer my
computer just freezes, this tends to happen when i'm
scrolling, but has happened at other times too. I can't
even do CTRL ALT DEL and have to completely switch off my
computer and go through the whole scan disk process. Any
ideas?

Can be anything from forgetting to do basic system maintenance to you
having installed 50+ sypware applications.

Be sure all fans are operating. Allow the PC case to breathe by not
covering it or shoving it against the wall, blocking the vents or fan grills.

Check for an updated video driver from the chip or card manufacturer's
WEBsite. If results are poor, ROLL BACK to the prior driver. If you are
unfamiliar with this process, it's best to enlist help from someone who is.

This is a new computer, no spyware applications, in fact
not much on at all, and what basic system maintenance?
