Explorer crash in Properties window

Explorer crashes, it happens when I look at the
properties of a file then close the properties window, event viewer says the
problem is in NTDLL.DLL
Any ideas ???

Remove SP2, and the restore will run.

Hello Mark,
My problem is as follows.
Win XP Home was installed on the PC when I bought it.
They only gave me a Win XP Restore CD.
When I run sfc/scannow is asks for the original Win XP cd , whick of course
I don't have I put in the restore disc but it is rejected.
I have tried to use the restore disc to restore XP but since I have loaded
SP2 it says that this my system is not the same as original.
I didn't want to do a complete format as I would lose a lot of programs that
reside on my PC for which I haven't got the original setups. I have saved all
the data on my PC onto DVDs.
I am looking for a relatively simple fix as the problem I have got is just
about liveable.
Any ideas ????
