Explorer and IE Exploer 6 tries to load Earthlink Accelerator after uninstalling Total Access

I uninstalled Total Access by Earthlink and now everytime I run
explorer or internet explorer or start the control panel, a screen
appears that says:

Earthlink Accelerator
The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable
disk that is not available
Insert the Earthlink Accelerator disk and click OK.

When I cancel it, a screen displays:

Error 1706. No valid source could be found for product' Earthlink
Accelerator'. The windows installer can not continue.

These 2 screens repeat 3 times and then I am able to continue. Does
anyone have an idea what I might do?
