Explorer 6 & cftmon hangs

After years of happy XP pro use I now have a continuous hanging hassle with
ctfmon & explorer 6, I have all the service packs and downloads. Adaware and
Spybot S & D programs are run often. Seems to hang more often after cutting
and pasting especially larger files, photos etc. When it hangs, I load the
task manager, no programms running and it hangs also. I have to reboot all
the time to get going again. Any ideas would be appreciated. Bob from Down
