Expired DHCP clients

Hi All,

I like to know how to let win2000 server to auto remove those expired DHCP
clients in the DHCP Address Leases. I am working in the computer reseller
company. Everyday we need to test many new PCs before ship out. Not more
than a week, the DHCP server Address Leases full of expired addresses. I
have to delete manually. Is there a automatic way ? Thanks

HI There,
Well you can reduce lease time on DHCP server.
When you finish your test on client run the command ipconfig/release at command prompt

good luck

Hi Rais,

Thanks for your replied. I know that the ipconfig/release will solve the
problem. But normally will forgot to run such command. Is there any ways to
let DHCP server to remove those expired lease by itself ? Thanks

Shorten the lease period. In your situation, 1 day might be
appropriate.

Hi Alan,
Please post this question to "microsoft.public.win2000.networking." The
folks there will be much better able to answer your question.
